What is a "POS Signature Purchase"

I am from Pakistan and I purchased few items on amazon.com, but for one order which is more than $400......Now the problem is that i ordered them to my relatives in New York.....They dont have my card or my signatures

What will happen.....my payoneer is showing something like this

What does Signature purchase mean, do someone needs to do signature to authorize purchase at the time of package delivery or what......As i really need those things and no one in my relatives home (New York) can do my signatures i guess

Hi - please don't be alarmed!

An outstanding authorization is when a merchant places a hold on a certain amount of funds on your card to verify that you have sufficient funds to pay for the transaction. Some merchants' agreements with MasterCard allow them to pre-authorize smaller or larger amounts than the expected transaction.

If the amount pre-authorized is bigger than the actual transaction amount, the remaining funds may be held for several days before being released back to your available balance (the number of days depends on the merchant type).

So it means, things will reach there and after delivery or few days...Transaction will be authorized......am i right? i think amazon took $418 instead of $465 Order..........So it was just for safety purpose i guess.......

So nobody needs to sign, thats a releif.....

Once the merchant (Amazon) charges the exact amount, the pre-auth will be released and you will see this on your transaction list. No problem!
