Pre-Auth Transaction-ATM Withdrawal - Pending Authorization

hello, today for the first time i tried to withdraw funds from my account, but machine was unable to process the transaction, tried again and did a balance check, the result was $2000JMD(20USD), so i withdraw $1000($10USD). Login to my account to see a Pending Authorization of -$12.34 & -$49.12, account balance: $4.59. Could someone share some info as to why i was unable to complete the first withdrawal, thanks

    I also withdraw $100 from ATM but machine didn't withdraw my money but a pre-auth ATM transaction of $104 made and balance was deducted from my account. Do you have any Idea should I contact the branch manager from where I withdraw my money or should I just wait for Payoneer to update transaction history???

    A pre-authorization means that the merchant (in this case ATM) requested to charge your card but never completed the transaction. The request caused funds to be put on hold, generally for a period of up to 7 business days.

    If the estimated time passes and the merchant does not complete the transaction, these funds will be released back to your card balance.

    As to why the ATM did not charge you in the first place, it's likely there was a technical issue in the bank's system. You can try to contact the bank for details, or simply wait for the pre-authorization to expire and then make a new transaction.
