Hi, I'm looking for some info re the Airbnb Payoneer card, is the card a branded card, i.e Airbnb details on the card or is it a plain Payoneer card? Would anyone prefer if your card was branded with Airbnb details?

Hi Stevo, the current card brand for Airbnb should be the design in the following link. If not that one it will be the pink card located in the same link.

The branding of the card dictates the fees associated for the card. So if you live in the US or in Europe, I would highly recommend you register your Payoneer account through Airbnb for the branded card so a card can be issued in your area to avoid those pesky currency conversion and/or cross-border fees.

Alternatively, if Airbnb offers bank transfer payments for your residential country, this might be a suitable alternative to the card (assuming you don't wish to deal with too many cards in your pocket).

You can find out more about fees associated to the card service through Airbnb's website or during the registration process for the card.

Happy and willing to answer general questions.

Thank Adam, so it is an actual Airbnb branded card, interesting, i am in South Africa and started using Payoneer as Airbnb stopped supporting bank transfers for some reason, so every time there was a payout i had to approve it through my online banking, declare it etc. A pain, with the Payoneer card i currently have (normal black card) i draw cash at a local atm.

Would the airbnb card attract different fees?? Confusing, also, if i wanted the branded card how do i go about it?

It sounds like you first applied for the Payoneer account through our landing page and than added Airbnb as a funding source, so the fees associated to the service are our fees. If you have been recently active in receiving payments from Airbnb, contact our support center and ask to change your card program from Payoneer to Airbnb (this is also how you ask to order an Airbnb branded card).

In regards to fees, the only difference between the fees is that with Airbnb program you don't have to pay annual fee ($29.95). So Basically that is an extra $30 in your pocket every year.

In regards to not offering bank transfers to South Africa, we have been offering this service for some quiet time. If there was a recent change then we haven't received the memo.

We have multiple programs for Airbnb that are divided into currencies (USD/EUR) and bank transfer services to specific countries and regions, so it is possible there was some slight confusion. Because of this I recommend you contact Airbnb again and see about a Bank Transfer payment method to South Africa as it is possible that the Bank Transfer payment you were discussing with them at the time was in reference to another Airbnb program they run with us.

I am having a similar problem. I intended to register my Payoneer account with Airbnb program as the annual is waived. However, I think I am not in the airbnb program at the moment. The annual fee was deducted from my Payoneer account already. I have been trying to contact Payoneer support center but have not been successful. There is no direct contact to ask regarding the issue. How can I contact support center to ask to change my Payoneer card program to Airbnb? Please help. Thanks...
