Money missing from my account

A week ago a clerk in a local shop had a problem charging my card. The first time she tried to charge me the information returned that the transaction couldn't be completed. She tried the second time and it worked. The problem came up when I found out that I was charged double the ammount- once for both transactions. One of them wasn't completed. I went the very same day to the clerk and we checked the statements together to see if the transaction was completed by accident. It wasn't. They never recieved the money and it was missing from my account.
There it is now just sitting in the pending autorizations area for a week now and nothing has changed. The charges I created came and went, but that one is still there. That is my money and I can't access it.

What is going on? What has happened with my money and when can I access it? It wasn't spent on anything and it's just staying up in limbo.

Sounds like the first attempt that was made basically did as you said (stuck in limbo). This can happen for several reasons including loss of connection between the merchant and the card processor.

No worries though. If the merchant does not collect the transaction within 10 days, the transaction will cancel and the money will return to the card.
If you require the funds immediately, contact Payoneer customer care for assistance as they will need the merchant to provide information associated to the transaction before they will be able to cancel it.

Happy and willing to answer general questions.
