i got a email from payonner warning

saying Dear Michael Robinson,

It looks like you have cheated your client. You have taken work but didn't pay for it yet.
Please send your payment within 2 days else you'll be sued. And if your client complains then your bank account may also get sealed.

We care about our users.

Thank You,
The Payoneer Team Dear Michael Robinson,

We had forwarded your response to Agha Muhammad Ali Nasir.

Agha Muhammad Ali Nasir reported that you haven't pay him yet and you have removed your account on Guru.
He had also attached screenshots as proof.

Please we request you to be honest and pay , else we have to take legal actions. what do legal actions mean will i go to jail or take to court or get a fine

I can tell you straight up by reading the message you posted is not real. For starters, if a company is planning to sue you:

    • They won't send you a 2 lined email.
    • The level of English used in the email would be way higher than the kindergarden level English you received.

I didn't go to law school nor am I an expert on law (althought I do enjoy a good read about interesting court cases), but every bone in my body tells me that no sane company would write you an email with the words "we will sue you". It is more likely they will say "If you do not comply with our requets this matter will be taken up to the courts".

The best way to know if an email was sent by Payoneer is to check the email domain of the message. When receiving an email from Payoneer, the email domain will be " @payoneer.com ".

Any other email domain that appears probably belongs to a fraudster. When in doubt, contact Payoneer customer care directly so they can confirm the authenticity of the email you received.

Happy and willing to answer general questions.

For any inquiries directly associated to your Payoneer account, please contact Payoneer's Customer Care Support Center.

We do not. Every respectable company will buy their own domain. In Payoneer's case, emails you receive from them will always have @Payoneer.com.
Anyone using gmail or yahoo with the companies name mentioned in it to communicate with users is most likely a fake.
