When "international" payment is received by Atm Withdrawal or through Bank transfer so w/holding tax is deducted by concerned exchange rate authorities (Banks). There is ZERO LINK of tax with Payoneer. Best suggestion is that try to receive payments in Bank account as then you have proof of bank statement (mentioned Home remittance ). Talking about Tax on this portal is meaningless as there is ZERO link. According to Pakistani Tax Laws, every international payment received in bank is considered white Money.

Hi "maaiz" I've withdrawn a couple of payments from my Payoneer account to my local bank and it shows as " 1Link-Atm Inter Bank Transfer " on the bank statement which is similar to what you see when somebody sends you money from a local bank account to your bank account.
So my question is what evidence do we have to prove that this is foreign remittance? There are no transaction details on the bank statement and no mentioning of Foreign Transfer or Remittance.
Hope you get what I'm trying to say.
Thanks1 -
unstopabl3 Thanks for your message. According to my information and experience with HBL it is considered HOME REMITTANCE as there is no link of local amount transferring for the said type of transaction. However in both cases you should not worried about this matter as every transaction is made by proper banking channel and you have proper record in respect of Bank Statement. i request to all other users please dont create "hype about tax" . it is simple home remittance and individual income figures are very small earned by freelancing, online portals etc. i never find a single person on this portal ( Pakistan Community) who show screen shot of withdrawal above 3 thousand per month and even it is considered home remittance instead of commercial. So kindly relax free. you have bank statements and it is bank responsibility to show that how they get funds in front of concerned authorities if any. Last answer for all users. there is ZERO TAX for receiving payment via payoneer through bank transfer as said amounts are considered " HOME REMITTANCE"
Just relax all brother & sisters about this and "hype about tax" should be closed now as very detailed and logical answers are given here and all concerned sections.

This means banks r cheating us. why dont they put forien bank transfer on statement? If its written on statement that money came from abroad than here pk govt or tax authorities cant ask us about "Source of income" so for example: i get 1 lack in pk bank from payoneer and i go to buy car than i will get FBR notice " how did i bought car? where money came to you in your bank acc? source of income. they all do this i knw pk govt . As u said bank responsible to tell authorities? no authorities wont ask the bank. they will as the buyer of the car. they will catch from cnic.-1 -
This is an old thread, but i want to ask if anyone can answer. Please tell me if you mention 'direct bank transfer' from payoneer to local Pakistani bank as Foreign Remittance in tax return, do they ask you any clarifications? Did any of you tried getting remittance certificate from bank for tax returns and had problem because its coming through payoneer?0

i guess payoneer clearly defines the payment received are "domestic" ones and not wire-transfers, unless its a wire transfer, you can't really prove its a remittance. the only way might be to backchannel.
But if there's a way to declare payoneer as a remittance, please enlighten us!0 -

A while ago this comment deterred me however after freelancing for years now I can tell you that this is not true.
There is extremely high potential in freelancing online from Pakistan. Especially if you have decent English skills. You don't find screenshots of more than $3000 payments because people do not post screenshots of them receiving that much money.
If you have good communication, good language skills, then you should go for it!0
