Payment Rejected by Bank/Credit Card Company

Hi Guys! My client is trying to pay via a Prepaid master card. However, the transaction has been rejected 4 times already with the message "Payment Rejected by Bank/Credit Card Company". My client has contacted their credit card company which informed them that the transaction did not even register in their system. All the details like name on card, credit card etc are correct.

Payoneer support is taking ages to reply to my trouble ticket. Can some one help?

There's your problem, your client is trying to use a prepaid card.

Even though prepaid cards are supported by many merchants, when it comes some service types, the merchant may not support it as a valid payment type. This is most noticeable with service oriented websites.

In my opinion, the main reason this happens is because most prepaid cards can be bought and used any local outlet. Even though some prepaid cards (such as Payoneer's) are registered under a designated account holder, this does not change the way the card is recognized by the merchant.
Remember that there are different issuing banks that issue different types of cards in accordance to the service they are affiliated with.

This is where debit and prepaid cards are different despite all of their similarities. A debit card will usually be connected with your bank where the average person receives their paycheck whereas prepaid cards are dependent on the holder to load the card before it can be used. Even though both cards are dependent on the actual amount of money you have in the account, it is more likely you will put money in your bank account before loading it to a prepaid card.

If any forum user ever had the chance to work with the card industry and has any insights they would be willing to share, that would be great.

Happy and willing to answer general questions.
