Using Payoneer Card on Booking.com

I recently tried to book my hotel on Booking.com for a stay in Kuala Lumpur and the site kept declining the card. I made sure the currency was set to USD (the currency of my card) but still no joy. I tried then to book a car via Booking.com's partner rentalcars.com and everything went smoothly. So the card is good, the $$ was there. Has anyone else had a similar experience with booking.com specifically?

    Yes happened to me my room was booked and was due to be automatically charged to the card one week before the stay. The card on my booking.com account was Payoneer and it declined without my knowledge so the hotel cancelled my room!

    Check with Booking.com their policies in regards to accepting prepaid cards as a payment option as I suspect this might be the reason they declined the transaction.

    Usually travel or vacation rental websites prefer to accept credit cards only as a trusted payment option, which can cause the type of inconvenience you experienced.

    Hi Adam,

    I am having the same problem as the users who posted in this thread, however your input is not entirely correct - two years ago I used another card I own, which isn't a credit card but a regular debit card and I had no problem.

    But with Payoneer it doesn't seem to work for some reason and I can't understand why.

    Just thought you might want to know.
