Withdraw money abroad possible problem

KizaruKizaru Posts: 8Member
Hi Payoneer,

I plan to travel to another country and withdraw money from an ATM in their local currency. It came to my mind that your system might recognize this as a fraudulent activity and block my card while I'm abroad, which would cause huge problem for me.

Do you think this would happen?

And what if I try to pay online from another country using my debit card, how can I prove it was me?

Thanks in advance

Hi, @kellytavares, thanks for bumping this thread, and @nadicasav12 & @Kizaru, I apologize for the lack of response on our end with this question.

Our security department is always actively monitoring the activity of your account and your card for your safety. They're trained to identify trends that would cause them to believe that a transaction is suspicious, and depending on the situation they may choose to block your card. Generally, our team will block the card as a precaution, send you a message to verify that you made the transaction, and act further. It is rare that a card would be blocked without a notice.

While we don't require that you notify us if you are traveling to another country, in the odd chance that your card is blocked while you are abroad, I recommend to have the number of our customer care line handy so that you can call to have it unblocked.

If you are currently encountering this issue, please send a personal message so that I can look it over.
