Payoneer MasterCard Problem?

So, I just received my Payoneer Mastercard today, and when I activated it online, they said that I shouldn't attempt to withdraw any cash from ATMs if I don't have any or the ATM will "eat" my card...

Now, I'm just so excited to try it on an ATM, but what in the world does that "EAT" mean??????
That's all I wanna know...
Update: I got the card & when I activated it on www.payoneer.com, they asked me to put the last 4 numbers of my credit card code ( it has 16 numbers ) & to choose a PIN number of my own, & that's what I did.
btw this is the NOTE that is written in the mail: Make sure funds are loaded to the card before attempting to withdraw cash from an ATM. Some ATMs will seize the card if funds are not available.

    Hi @onegold88,

At some ATMs we see that they may seize, or "eat" the card if there are no funds on it. This pretty much means that the ATM will take your card when you insert it, and then not return it. You would need a letter of ownership from us to get the ATM to release the card, but at most ATM's it is not an issue.

As a rule of thumb you should always have funds before you attempt a withdrawal at an ATM. If you have funds on the card, you should see no issues whatsover withdrawing at an ATM.

    Thanks!
