Hello, as Payoneer has switched my account with their entity in Ireland I was wondering about privacy with the local Revenue as I live in Ireland.. Will the Revenue know that I have a debit card with Payoneer?

    Hi there

Thanks for this question. It is true that there has been a change in entity to our bank in Ireland.

Regarding the privacy issue, I think it is nicely laid out here in our privacy policy. It is quite easy to navigate through so you should easily find your answer.

    Thank you!

Making an addition to my previous answer as there still seems to be a level of confusion with users attempting to reply to this post.

The answer you see is, in fact, nicely laid out in the above link, under the section "when do we share your information". There, you will see a number of different scenarios in which we share your private information.

The one that seems to be causing confusion are requests that come from government entities or local officials. Per the above link, it states that we do share information "In response to legal process – to comply with the law, a judicial proceeding, subpoena, court order, or other legal process."

If the company has an obligation by law to share or cooperate, we will adhere to the law to assure that we are compliant.

Please be sure to closely read the privacy policy as it is incredibly specific and does cover the scenarios that some of you have been asking about.

    Thanks all!
