How does this happen? Can I give my Payoneer address to a customer and they pay as they would with Paypal?

    Hi @BTierney ,

Yes, you can use Payoneer as an alternative to PayPal for freelancer payments. Payoneer is a popular online payment platform that enables individuals and businesses to send and receive money globally. It is especially popular among freelancers, as it allows them to receive payments from clients in different countries and currencies.

To use Payoneer as a replacement for PayPal, you need to create an account on the Payoneer website where you can also find more information about our services. Once your account is set up, you can link it to your freelance platform, such as Upwork or Fiverr, or provide your Payoneer account details to your clients directly.

When a client pays you through Payoneer, the funds will be deposited into your Payoneer account. You can then withdraw the funds to your local bank account, use them to make online purchases, or use your Payoneer Mastercard to withdraw cash at ATMs.

Payoneer charges a small fee for each transaction, but its fees are generally lower than PayPal's, especially for international transactions. You can find them here. Additionally, Payoneer offers other benefits, such as the ability to receive payments in multiple currencies, local bank transfers, and integration with popular e-commerce platforms like Amazon, and eBay.

Overall, Payoneer can be an excellent alternative to PayPal for freelancer payments, especially if you work with clients from different countries and need a reliable and cost-effective payment solution.

I hope this answered your question!

What account details are that? My email? Does the client have to go to Payoneer like they would for PayPal?

@BTierney , your receiving account details.

Payoneer's receiving accounts allows Payoneer users to receive payments via bank transfer from companies in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, EU and UK as though they were local transfers. This makes it possible to receive payments internationally with more convenience and ease.

You can view your receiving account details by following the steps:

    1. Sign in to your Payoneer account.
    2. Click on the Get paid tab and choose Receiving accounts.
    3. Here you could filter by currencies to see the relevant receiving accounts. Click on each account to view the full details.
