Sending Money From an Expired Card

Hello everyone,

I am writing to inquire if it is possible to send/transfer money from my expired Payoneer card to another Payoneer card user whose card is active. I currently have some funds in my account which I really need to use and this can't wait until I get a new card. Please let me know if this is possible and the options I have.

    Hey @sakapeter90,

    This is a common question that we get and it is a common issue as well.

    In order to access the funds at all, which includes sending funds to another user, withdrawing them to a local bank, and spending the funds on a card, the card must be active and unexpired. This means that it is not possible to send funds to another user if your card has expired.

    Think of the card as like a vault or a safe that holds your funds. When the card is blocked or expired, it is like the vault being locked. There is no way to access that vault unless it is reopened--which would be in this case, if the card is active/unblocked, and unexpired.

    ok just want to get it straight is either yes or no please my card as expired but have funds can i transfer the funds into my local bank yes or no or i have to wait for a new card to arrive before that process can be possible

    No you won't be able to access to withdraw to your bank account if the card is expired.

    Hello @asuako360, please note that you need to have received a recent payment (within the last 3 months) to your account in order to be able to request a new card. Once you've received the payment you can let us know so we can order it.
