Hey, created an account just to address payoneer that I personally and probably many other people need a way to keep using our cards, at least for now. The money on my virtual balance does nothing for me as i cannot pay my bills or purchase food as I have no way to withdraw my funds from a bank.I want to add that many of us use the card to pay online. If they transfer their balance to their bank accounts, they won't be able to pay online as those banks/countries do not allow that.
Payoneer needs to find a solution swiftly to allow folks to load their cards.
4 -
It seems you can only pay/withdraw from your existing Payoneer card, not reload it. That means when the card balance hits zero, your card will become useless for future use and have to wait for a new card to be issued.

Thanks to Payoneer !!! I was able to take some cash from cards today. Now all safe. About the new cards - I will be looking forward to get new cards as soon as they are available. FYI: In a usual usual grocery in Spain the cards were declined . Thanks to encouraging CEO speech! Heads up.1

@Leonid_Payoneer There is a very large number of Payoneer customers which depend on the card. Those people have $0 balance on the card and they have payments waiting to be received. They need to be able to use the card to pay for bills, groceries, rent. Please do not ignore those people. Please forward this message to management and kindly ask them to allow people to receive payments to their cards while you take the time to find another card provider.

If @Trinity and @badbadger are not Payoneers good-bad cop duo they should be officially engaged as one :) This dynamic duo brings drama and action into a daily dose of "and now something completely different" Wirecard related news.2

If you want to continue receiving funds to your Payoneer card and not wait and undetermined period of time until they find a new card issuer, please address this issue on Payoneer's Twitter account. They seem to be more active there. The more people post, the more pressure we put on Payoneer to restore the full functionality of our cards.

This message was already passed to Payoneer's management. And we know very well that Payoneer Preapaid Card is an essential product for lots of customers.
Being said that, we are moving away from Wirecard and we need to continue this process.
Considering the number of our customers who is still using a card issued by WCSL, we can't present a new issuer overnight, but it's our priority now.3 -

I would also like to propose to Payoneer, if it's technically possible, to allow users to decide how much money will be available on their card from their virtual balance, rather than sending it directly to them as is currently the case. Both for current and future cards. I think it would be very interesting, if it is really feasible of course.

Thank you, @Leonid_Payoneer for your response and from presenting this matter to management.
We are all eagerly waiting for a positive response as soon as possible that will allow us to continue receiving payments to our card while you look for another issuer.3 -

Why is Payoneer moving away from Wirecard?
Shouldn't it be more safe now that is being monitored by the FCA?1 -

It seems things are again moving. Thanks to those who continue to put pressure by raising their concerns and to Payoneer for listening to user feedback.
Folks, if you have tried it, let us know if you were successful or unsuccessful.
Good news! You're now able to withdraw the funds on your card to your local bank account, make payments and manage currencies.Furthermore, while new funds will continue to be received to your Payoneer currency balance, we’re gradually transitioning to delivering funds to your prepaid card, giving you the full set of card usage options.
...
We will start rolling out this transition later today. We will notify you the moment you have it available.1 -
I understand from this new update it can be use the card for future payments?0

Does this mean we will receive new payments to the card?

Indeed, we are planning to let your funds to be loaded to the card again soon.
We are doing this in stages and will notify you when it takes effect for your account, so please make sure to keep an eye out for an e-mail from Payoneer with information.6 -

Hello,
Yesterday I tried to withdraw money twice via ATM from my Payoneer card because the update stated that we would be able to use the card again but I could not withdraw any money! Moreover, I was charged 2 USD for transaction fees although Payoneer stated that fees will be waived until July 6th! This is NOT acceptable!0 -

Is it official that our cards are going to be valid? Asking this because a client is waiting for my approval to send me funds to my card, but if those funds stay on my virtual card then i have no use, appreciate if anyone can answer me0
-
@bluelagoon Same here, so far no, don't give them the greenlight to send you money to Payoneer, until they officially announce that cards are loadable again.
The current official statement is we 'will', so I won't risk it, and I would have my funds sent through another service until then.2 -

"Furthermore, while new funds will continue to be received to your Payoneer currency balance, we’re gradually transitioning to delivering funds to your prepaid card, giving you the full set of card usage options. The FCA has confirmed that all cardholder funds are held in full in safeguarded trust accounts and we stand behind our statement that your funds are 100% safe. We will notify you the moment this becomes available"
I also like the idea of wirecard UK not being punished because it seems they did nothing wrong.
Of course huge thanks to Payoneer for navigating this possible mess with style.
2 -
@dpx That's just PR words, everything is not back to normal
In the statement you quoted, they say "we’re gradually transitioning to delivering funds to your prepaid card, giving you the full set of card usage options" which means (in their own words) everything is not yet back to normal.
"We will notify you the moment this becomes available", you're being thankful too soon, imo.

@MohMort
Unless you need funds on your card immediately, this is as close to 'back to normal' for me as possible. I was (briefly) only worried that money can vanish, after Payoneer promised to guarantee for any sudden losses I am fully confident they will refill cards as soon as possible. Remember they promised to enable other card functionality next Monday and they did it today (I am not fully informed what it does since I don't use other functionality). Issuing new cards would be a drag, that would slow down reaching own money, so I see this as best possible outcome. If they decide to switch cards in the future also fine but this is fastest possible way to get money. Also, I said it before, for a brief moment I thought that I lost 5k pounds on card and possibly 5.5k pounds outside of the card, so all fine by me after I learned I didn't lost them...
1 -
"Unless you need funds on your card immediately", well I do but my client can't send me funds because they're useless as I can't load them on card which is what (normal) was to me.
And Payoneer is a service I used because I don't have a local bank account and this now nullifies its point to me and many other users.0 -
Just came to thank Payoneer for not letting us starve

I think a lot of people on here should feel really ashamed of the way they acted (@badbadger, @DPX, @mohmort @Meiji @Silvaro @abdelrahmanm @moisespujadas @Canyones @chalex1980 @unstopabl3). Entitled children with no idea as to the services they signed up for or the massive and unexpected complications caused by the FCA move. Just as I said. Patience and it would all be sorted.
6 days to resolution, 2 of which were non-banking days and at a time when most companies and government agencies are severely restricted from staff due to the pandemic.

A huge congratulations to the team at Payoneer that worked and continue working on this for us behind the scenes. Despite some of the posts here there are a lot of us who are very grateful of the way you conducted yourself and will be continued happy customers for years to come.

You tagged me! How charming of you.
It seems you took issue with some users. I do not have any personal issues with you. You made some posts I didn't like, it wasn't anything more than that.

@Trinity sup keyboard warrior? I am not entitled, as far as I can tell, I pay for these services, and the official replies were too slow, too few, and I think the forum manager's job is managing the forum so he can't have been busy working with the FCA, and I think people pressing up on the issue here and on customer support helped move the process faster.
You however, defending and bitching for the company by copy pasting the blog posts, does not count for an official support (or are you?), which is why you're mad people were ignoring you and still filing complaints.
You're a toxic delusional, self-important kid.
-1 -
@MohMort I see little point in pushing this conversation onwards, however if you've got some spare time, please go through this entire thread and try to pick up on the tonality of individuals and the direction that the conversation had headed in. The general toxicity that started surfacing was getting out of hand pretty rapidly.
You are absolutely right in saying that the official replies were slow, which is exactly why @Trinity decided to try and help out by merely clarify the situation and shedding some light on the topic. That was his sole intention. I can see how you'd mistake him for an elitist prick but to me the guy looks anything but.
Either way, whatever, the little mishap with Wirecard ended with a positive epilogue, let's clear our heads and move on. Hope you're all having a great day!1 -

Okay now this is getting out of hand. I have been patient for ages hoping the issue will be dealt with.
Tell me what is happening that others can have their cards loaded while others, like myself, have to wait almost a week after others got their card load. What is happening that I should wait for days? I thought it would be a day's difference but no... it has to be forever.
CAN YOU AT LEAST PLEASE KINDLY UPDATE US AND GIVE US A TIME FRAME? LIKE WHEN DO YOU EXPECT THIS TO BE OVER?
It really sucks to be me right now.-1 -
An update for you
Rest assured that Payoneer is doing everything possible to get their services back up and running. They've been listening us.
If you don't already notice it on your Payoneer account, in the Payoneer card section, we can now manage the transfer of funds from Payoneer virtual balance to our card. Here is some explainations about that feature (from my profile).
Take control of your top-up settings
You can now turn card top-up on or off to suit your needs and those of your business.
What is card top-up? When we top up your Payoneer card, we automatically make funds from your balance available for use with the card, at ATMs or for purchases online/in-store. Each time top-up occurs, your card is topped up to its allowed limit.
Need to access your funds at ATMs and for purchases online/in-store? Turn card top-up on.
Happy to keep all funds in your Payoneer balance for withdrawals and payments? Turn card top-up off.You can change top-up setting for your cards below.
It defaults to OFF, which is maybe why some of us don't see their new funds being loaded to their card.
Here are other news find on Twitter
"Hi. Payoneer has enabled all activities. Due to the sudden increase in demand, the banks and financial system has imposed some limits within specific countries."
Also, be aware that each of us uses Payoneer in a different way, and therefore have different problems.
Hope that this little update will help some of you.

Wirecard: Why would Russia hide a fugitive fintech exec from EU investigators?
Mitch Prothero 6 hours ago
Former Wirecard COO Jan Marsalek disappeared in late June after a $2 billion hole was found in the German company's accounts. Sources tell Insider they believe he is in hiding in Russia.
But why would Russian security agencies help with the escape of a fugitive fintech executive?
"There's a million reasons [for the Russians] to get involved with Wirecard," a Dutch official told Insider. "Russian officials always need to move money to the West, and Wirecard was raising lots of money but not as much as they told investors.
"Russian government and intelligence services expect financial favors by way of support for off-the-books intelligence operations by their favored businessmen," a Central European counterintelligence official told Insider.
Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.
European Union investigators and prosecutors have arrested three former top executives from the German financial firm Wirecard, which spectacularly collapsed last month after a $2 billion hole was found in its accounts by outside auditors. They continue to seek former chief operating officer Jan Marsalek for questioning, although law enforcement officials are worried that he may have fled to Russia in late June.Former CEO Markus Braun and two other executives were rearrested on Wednesday by German police. Investigators believe that Wirecard — a rising star in European Union online financial circles — had been fraudulently misrepresenting its assets to investors on a systematic basis.
After outside auditors discovered in late June that two accounts that were supposed to be holding $1.9 billion did not exist, Wirecard quickly collapsed. More than $3.2 billion in loans from European and Japanese banks is expected to be lost by investors. Within days of being fired, Braun and other executives were detained for questioning, but Marsalek fled Germany. Security sources told Insider he is most likely in Russia.
He knew the recipe for novichok
Marsalek appears to have substantial ties to Russian intelligence, European law enforcement officials told Insider, who cited his public bragging of trips to Syria in the company of Russian military contractors, about 60 trips to Russia over a 10-year period on six Austrian and three other unidentified "diplomatic" passports, as well as links to various Austrian right-wing politicians and political parties themselves linked to Russia politically and economically.Marsalek also once bragged to colleagues that he knew the recipe for Novichok, showing the documents containing the "recipe" for the chemical used to poison ex-Russian agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury, England, in 2018, according to the Financial Times.
"We believe he is in Russia," a Dutch law enforcement official told Insider. "That he could so easily evade the German warrants, and cross into Russia from Belarus, certainly indicates official cooperation with Russian intelligence."
When asked what Russian intelligence would gain from involvement with a German online finance company, two EU law enforcement officials gave nearly identical accounts of a nexus between criminal activity and Russian intelligence and political operations.
'Russian officials always need to move money to the West, and Wirecard was raising lots of money but not as much as they told investors'
"There's a million reasons to get involved with Wirecard," said the Dutch official. "Russian officials always need to move money to the West, and Wirecard was raising lots of money but not as much as they told investors. So there's strong indications of both money laundering as well as fraud.""So now the Russians have access to money sloshing around in Europe, Germany in Wirecard, and even Braun and Marsalek themselves in Austria," the official adds, pointing to an Austrian criminal investigation into both men filed as the company collapsed.
"It's well understood that the Russian government and intelligence services expect financial favors by way of support for off-the-books intelligence operations by their favored businessmen," said a Central European counterintelligence official who cannot be named because of close ties between their government and Russia.
"Austrian prosecutors will be investigating if Wirecard or these executives were funneling Russian support by way of cash to political figures," the official said. "Or I hope they do, as this has been an allegation raised in the past."
In 2019, prosecutors began an investigation into the use of Austrian banks in Russian money laundering that threatened to drag in members of the political elite.
And in March, 2019 the government of Sebastian Kurtz was forced to resign after allegations that officials from their junior coalition partner, the far-right Freedom Party, had engaged in unethical dealings with Russian nationals.
Wirecard Probe in Philippines Focuses on Two Bankers Who May Have Forged Documents
Philippine money-laundering investigators have identified more than 50 people and entities of interest in the Wirecard casePhilippine investigators say they have identified dozens of people and entities of interest in their probe into Wirecard AG, and are focusing on two bank employees who may have facilitated a multinational accounting scandal at the insolvent German payments company.
Wirecard had claimed some $2.1 billion in cash on its balance sheet had been transferred to accounts at two Philippine banks. Both banks—Banco de Oro and Bank of the Philippine Islands—denied the accounts existed, and officials say the money never entered the country’s...
