Amazon And Peyoneer... How?

I've just got approved for US payment service and I wanted to add it to my Amazon associates account, but reading their FAQs they strictly say:
So non-US citizens aren't able to use direct deposit even with US payment service. Is that correct?
Any way around this?
Amazon Associates allows people to be paid by direct deposit to their nominated bank accounts if they AND their bank are based within the United States. At this time, the Amazon.com Associates Program is unable to offer direct deposit to International Associates or to banks located outside of the United States.
So non-US citizens aren't able to use direct deposit even with US payment service. Is that correct?
Any way around this?

"Please note that you can change your threshold at any time but it must be submitted by the first day of the payment month to be effective. For example, if you would like to raise your threshold to $500, it must be entered by 3/1 to be effective for January earnings paid in March. If you change your threshold to $1000 on 3/15, if will be effective for February earnings paid in April."
How Can I Do?
This is discussing the threshold, not the payment method. Either way, like we mentioned earlier, we won't be changing the accounts today or anything, we were just giving you advance notice about the change that we will have.

Hey,
Thanks for coming and visiting our forums.
I have passed on your information to our approval department.

I read with interest about your US Payment service as an alternative to having a physical bank account in the US.
For users like me who are based outside of the US, it can be virtually impossible to setup a regular banking account.
I am looking for a way to receive funds from Amazon Payments and your service looks like it might do the job.
I read on some other posts that it should work with Amazon but I wanted to know if you know of any Amazon accounts that have been successfully established and funded using your service. Is there anything in how the accounts are setup that would allow Amazon to block this in future?
Do you have any information about this service as I could not find it on the site other than in these forums.
I have had a Payoneer card for many years and this could be a great way to extend the relationship.
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Alex

Hi,
The information of what to fill in (including bank name) can be found if you log in to your "My Account" page and click on the US Payment Service tab under the "Service" option on the toolbar.
The bank type you will choose is "Checking", when you fill in the information.
Sign up for Payoneer and the US Payment Service
After log in into My Account page at https://myaccount.payoneer.com/ , There are "Account Information", "General Information", "Tools" and "Withdrawal"
There are no "US Payment Service tab" and "Service" options on the toolbar. None of the tab options contain information on "what to fill in (including bank name)" like mentioned above.
Hi,
I see you have not yet applied for the US Payment Service.
In order for this information to appear you need to have been approved. Please fill out the questionnaire that was sent to you with the requested information.

I'm wondering, can I use my US Payment Service to receive payment from amazon? but I haven't got the payoneer card and haven't activated it yet. Approximately the payoneer card will arrive at 18 Agust 2012.
I really want to receive my next month payment from amazon to my payoneer card or US payment service.
The problem is changing payment methode in amazon, must be done at the end of this month.
The point is, can I start to use my US Payment Service even I haven't receive and activated my payoneer card?
Thanks Before
I'm glad to hear it Nissim.
Thanks for the info.
You provide all the information on the "My Account > Services - US Payment Service" page except for the Bank Account Type. The choices are Savings or Checking?
Which one do we select? Checking?
I would suggest trying to add the account as a payment method, and if you have any issues please let me know.
It seemed to be added successfully, but since I didn't get payment this month, I asked Amazon Associates support when will changing payment method take effect and this is their answer:
So, this isn't possible for international users.
Now, I am wondering what's the point of US payment service at all? I can't use it on Amazon, nor on their subdivision MTurk. I guess I wont be able to use it for adsense too, since they offer payment methods based on your country.
I understand that many of your card holders are receiving payments through US Payment Service, but are those US based users?
I am wondering why would they need virtual bank account at all
Anyway, I still need to try with Clickbank. They may be my last chance
Hi,
The US Payment Service is used mainly for cardholder outside the U.S.
Regarding your issue with Amazon please private message me with the email associated with your account and I will look into it.

Yes, the US Payment Service allows you to transfer the money from your Amazon account to your Payoneer card without needing a SSN and TIN.

thank you David for the quick reply, hope to get the card approved to apply for the US payment service too. unless i can do that before.
Once the card is approved you will receive information regarding the US Payment Service.

I am a Payoneer cardholder from South Africa approved for the US Payment service and would like to withdraw my Amazon Associates earnings to my Payoneer card via Direct Deposit. My problem is that Amazon has, within the last week or so, completely removed the Direct Deposit option from my account, leaving me with only "Pay by gift card" and "Pay by check".
I searched the Amazon Associates discussion boards and found similar reports from Non-US Associates (including Payoneer cardholders), where their Direct Deposit option had mysteriously disappeared as well.
Note: I did have the Direct Deposit option before, and had successfully entered my US bank routing and account number, but now I don't see any of that any more.
Now I understand that Payoneer may not have any answers for me right this moment but I would love to know if you are 1) aware of this issue, and 2) able to provide non-US Associates like myself a workaround or solution to this problem. I have also emailed Nissim about this directly, however I haven't heard back from him yet.
As you mentioned, it appears that the Direct Deposit is no longer listed for international affiliates looking to get paid from the Amazon Associates program. We are looking in to this issue and hope to have more information. Of course, Payoneer has no control over Amazon payment methods; the only way to get paid from Amazon is to have a valid account with the option of receiving direct deposit transfers.
Once we have further information, we will be sure to notify you.
Also (and I did email David on this but no response), can you tell me whether what I have done is OK or totally bang out of order:
I'm from the UK. I could not get the direct deposit check box to show up, so I changed my address details on my Amazon.com account to the bank address details for Payoneer (just as a test). I was then able to access the direct deposit field.
I'm figuring that I really should change the address details back, but if push come to shove and Amazon insist on non US residents having a US address would Payoneer customers be able to use the US bank address given to them as a workaround?
========================================================================================================
**EDIT: I've just found out that Amazon Associates US (I called and spoke to an affiliate mgr so this is accurate) do not currently pay via the Payoneer system for non US residents however, they are actively looking into this and this may very well change soon. I was told to check my associate account in a week or so.
I did ask about using the Payoneer bank address (after I changed mine back of course) and this is a no-no.
So I guess we'll all just have to wait it out and hope Amazon come to their senses.
========================================================================================================
Using the bank address as your address is not recommended, as technically you are not a US resident. This may cause tax reporting issues on Amazon's end. Additionally it is not authorized by the bank/Payoneer; any attempt to confirm this as your own will fail and may result in the disabling of your Amazon account.
I of course understand that you're not looking to cheat the system in any way, and simply want an efficient solution to receive your payments. We're continuing to try and find a solution, and hopefully (as Amazon mentioned), there will be one soon.
I have noticed that direct deposit payments are not (or no longer?) available for Amazon non-US affiliates. I confirmed it by asking their customer support.
I am a new member here. My card is estimated to arrive within the next 3 weeks. Though honestly, I might not activate it until there's any clear resolution to this. Amazon is the main drive that I apply for Payoneer. If I can't use Payoneer for Amazon, then it's basically useless.
I don't know how big is the portion of Amazon payments compared to the whole Payoneer USPS transactions. But in my personal opinion, it should be big.
So, since it would in the end affect Payoneer's revenue, I wonder if there has been any workaround or discussion on this issue. Would we (international members) simply lose USPS value in providing a means of receiving Amazon payments? Is there any action to be taken by Payoneer?
Thank you,
Dal
I second this too, please advise.
We're aware of this issue, and are looking into possible solutions.
We will be sure to post an update once we have further information.
That's nice to hear.
Chatted with a CS and she kept saying "we have no changes on our policy". Well that's true, but Amazon does change.
I was under impression that she didn't care and it puts me on rage.
Now I'm relieved that Payoneer is working on this.
Please do keep us updated.
It's important to realize that Payoneer has very little control over this change, however we will do what we can to attempt to find a solution.
We joined your program based on the presumption we got from your web site that you're making direct deposits available to non-US residents, and it appears not to be true for Amazon. Too bad.
I understand that this is not under your control.
But now that they've changed their policy, there is obviously no need for this option, since US residents already have a US account they can use, and non-US residents are no longer allowed to use it.
Also keep in mind that this seems to affect Amazon Associates only. Amazon sellers, KDP, and CreateSpace still can receive US direct deposit transfers as non-US residents (in addition to other US companies listed here http://www.payoneer.com/USPService.aspx).
please check, yesterday I noticed that direct deposit payment option is available again, but along with a note "United States Based Associates Only", I still don't get what they're up to, I suppose of course they notice that our accounts are international associate account, but since it appears then there must be some lights shed.
I think this is the best time for Payoneer to contact them again to advocate and convince so that we Amazon international associate can benefit from the privilege of getting payments by direct deposit through Payoneer.
I hope very soon we'll see additional note "United States Based Associates Only - Except for Payoneer account holders"
Thanks so much for the update Nissim - this has made my day
Well, not quite convincing. Saying "It's possible" means you are not 100% sure, so the conclusion is a bit too hasty.
Anyhow, I sent a message asking Amazon to provide confirmation. I will post updates here.
Thanks Nissim for keeping close attention to this issue.
I think you will find that IF you were to actually input your Payoneer details you would be all set (as in you CAN use the DD option despite the being a non-US resident). Nissim does not work for Amazon, he cannot be held accountable for the terminology they use on their site.
Thank you for updating the thread.
I am simply pointing that there is no clear information from Amazon so far.
The last message I received from amazon was that I need to have US address, US Bank account, and SSN (similar to the message quoted by Nela).
So even if I CAN select the DD option, doing so recklessly MIGHT put my Amazon account at the risk of suspension.
This is why I am still waiting for a reply from amazon support, to see if their DD requirements policy has been actually adjusted.
I am sorry for my English. I am from Indonesia and notice that the option states "Pay me by direct deposit (United States Based Associates Only)".
In accordance with that statement, a friend of mine contacted Amazon and received this answer from Amazon representative.
===
I apologize for any misunderstanding. In order to qualify for the direct deposit of your Associates earnings, all three of the following conditions must be met:
1) your payee address must be in the United States
2) your bank must be a United States Financial Institution
3) you must have a U.S. tax ID number or a Social Security number.
Since your payee address is in Indonesia, payment by direct deposit isn't available to you, nor do we offer payments via payoneer. However, you still have the option to be paid by Amazon.com gift card or check.
===
I think it is not only for Indonesian but also for associates that live outside US.
A few weeks ago Indonesia's associates are banned and lots of us were not received the revenue. We believe that Direct Deposit option is the cause of that case.
If I choose Direct Deposit as payment method, I am worried Amazon will ban my account so I will lose any commissions. What do you think?
Updates: Above is the email I just got from Amazon.
Payoneer's still not good to use for Amazon non-US associates.
Please Payoneer try your best to re-communicate with them
Also, I want to add that anyone can sign up to receive a US ITIN, which is an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. You don't have to be a US resident or citizen; you just need to show that you're receiving payments from US companies. Perhaps this would assist in resolving any issue you may be having with Amazon.
See:
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw7.pdf
http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Individual-Taxpayer-Identification-Number-(ITIN)
*someone posted my thoughts before I do.
3. If you don't know yet; when Amazon disabled DD options earlier, a lot of international associates were banned/terminated at the same time. Many think that the sole reason is to have DD (not allowed in Amazon rules) as their payment options.
So anyone who would still insist on using DD option, you know the risk too.
I agree about the possible risk, but as far as I know there is no any statement in Amazon Operating Agreement about suspension or closing because of the type of payment, and as far as I know the account closing last month was because of one US Bank account used by many different Amazon account at the same time (A Direct Deposit service), not because of Payoneer, and until now I haven't heard anyone's Amazon account closed because of Payoneer's US Bank account with their own name only. Well, anyway who knows.
from my understanding we did not qualify for point 1 and 3, but;
point 1: its mean that Payoneer US Payment Service or any Direct Deposit is illegal for foreigners ?
Point 3: Amazon (or me) has a low knowledge about US Laws because many affiliate network just ask W-8BEN* IRS Tax form for foreigners, right?
many amazon affiliate said to me that DD available again to trap/banned foreigners after their hard work earning.
* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRS_tax_forms#W-8_Series
Can I receive payment from another amazon account?
and can I receive from more than one amazon account
And while I have responses from Amazon that I can not receive DD payments, you don't have any message/response that says otherwise.
So in my opinion, you should be taking a neutral position instead of sending out possibly misleading information.
Can I receive payments from Amazon more than $ 300? because, I get an email from payoneer
New accounts have a temporary private load limit of $ 300. To increase of this limit, simply receive payments from any of our official partners or using our U.S. Payment Service.
Would love to hear from anyone else.. any non-US affiliates received their commission to their Payoneer account successfully?
Are you sure it takes 30 days for a new payment method to be effective? This could be it then. I updated my payment method about 15 days ago or so. I thought the change would be effective immediately. I contacted Amazon regarding this and will update with what they have to say.
Happy new year, everyone!
I still use Payoneer on my account and today I still receive the payment from Amazon, means I still get paid by Amazon through US Bank Account provided by Payoneer. Well at least until today my Amazon account still exists, don't know about tomorrow or next month, we'll see.
FYI:
I use the Payoneer account only for my own Amazon account, use the same name on both US Bank account of Payoneer and Amazon.
Just don't break the Affiliate Operating Agreements and you're golden, at least until the time I wrote this reply.
Use at your own risk. It's like a game, when the game is over, just press restart button and get back in the race.
Good luck.
Actually not that hard, as far as I know, at least you have to change one month before the due, for example: payment for January is made in late March (approximately 60 days after Jan. 30), therefore you have to change before the end of February.
Even though my Amazon payment history says I was paid via Check, and Amazon support told me that I changed my payment method late.. I was surprised to see that I have received the payment to my Payoneer account later last night! So that is definitely good news. But just to be %100 in the clear, make sure you change your payment method at least 30 days prior.
Please keep them coming, I'm sure the entire community will benefit a lot from them
So, you are confused about ACH deposit and Direct deposit. Actually the thing is direct deposit is kind of a subset of ACH transactions as a whole. So, I would suggest you not to worry about this matter. I know some of you are confused about amazon CS. But the thing is the only option for getting paid from amazon is "ACH deposit" And payoneer has this. Go to this link: http://www.payoneer.com/USPService.aspx You will notice "Get paid via US ACH/Direct Deposit"
So, In my opinion payoneer is good
I hope above info. is helpful to all.
Thanks!
I got my US Payment service approved around the 23 December and a couple of days later changed my Amazon payment method from check to DD.
On the 1 Jan I contacted them to say I had not received my payment for October that was sitting in my account and got a reply back from Amazon customer support saying:
So I came to the conclusion that that was that and I would have to try the gift card option.
But now I have read here on this thread that people outside the US are still receiving payment through the US Payment Service. So I am very confused.
Perhaps it was because I had only changed my Amazon account details a few days before the payment was due. But if that was the case you would think that Amazon would say this and not point out that because I live in Spain they will not send me the money.
I guess I will have to wait till the end of Jan and see if the payment comes through then as the changes to my Amazon payment details will be over 30 days old then.
I just hope though that I can get payment through for Amazon KDP as this is really the reason I joined Payoneer for in the first place.
You can also visit this thread on the unofficial Kindle forums, in which a member quoted KDP support as confirming they do allow US ACH/Direct Deposit for non-US residents: http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php/topic,113549.msg1735348.html#msg1735348
Can I receive payments from amazon, my Payoneer card while not yet home.
Just to add to my comments above. I have today just received a payment from Amazon Associates through to my payment card. So even though Amazon says they can´t do this in actual fact the do it any way.
Brilliant! I thought I would never see that money.
So it does seem that the month after you give them your details they will send the money through to you.
I´m glad I changed my details now or I would never have got that money.
Well done Payoneer!
Hi,
I opened an account with Payoneer specifically to get paid by the Amazon Affiliates program.
However, the payment failed. I've contacted both Payoneer and Amazon.
Payoneer told me that I should talk to Amazon directly while Amazon told me that to get paid by Amazon, the following three conditions must be met:
1) your payee address must be in the United States
2) your bank must be a United States Financial Institution
3) you must have a U.S. tax ID number or a Social Security number
Obviously, I took a Payoneer account as I'm not in the US so the first condition is not met and I can't get paid. However the Payoneer website leads me to think that they they accept payment from Amazon:
http://www.payoneer.com/USPService.aspx clearly states "Receive funds from US companies, such as PayPal, Amazon, Apple, and more:"
So, who is wrong ?
Generally Amazon would not ask for this information unless you signed up as a US resident, you should sign up under your own country.
The Payoneer US Payment Service can only provide you with US bank routing number that sends the payment to your card.
Sign up for Payoneer and the US Payment Service
I didn't sign up as a US resident. The following line in their email states that I'm not allowed to be paid as I'm living in Belgium.
I've read in other threads that it could be due to the fact that I've updated my payment information too late for their system to process. Others have stated in this forum that they did get paid so I'll keep my fingers crossed and wait another month. I hope it works for other services (CJ, Linkshare, ...) otherwise I'll just cancel my Payoneer card.
Hi..
I'm a non-US Amazon Affiliate and have been paid via Payoneer twice. It works just fine. If you contact Amazon's support about it, they'll give you a dull scripted answer that has nothing to do with the issue. So just make sure your Amazon Affiliates account is set with your US payment service account at least 20 or 30 days prior and it should work. Good luck!
