Do I have to sign the back of my card?

hi, 
there is a sentence on the back of the card says that " Not Valid unless signed" 
what is that mean? 
and is that make problems when i withdraw from any ATM

    You have to write your signature in order to make purchases in stores (It's just a security measure). There will be no problem with ATM's if you leave it in blank.
